Rest-hours checker
Find rest shortfalls that daily totals can miss.
Ordinary minimum-rest standard: 10 hours in 24 hours and 77 hours in 7 days. This tool does not apply the MLC maximum-work alternative or approved exceptions.
1. Enter one person’s records
Record both work and rest. Gaps remain unknown; short breaks are not automatically rest. Split interrupted rest at actual call-outs or drills.
2. Results
Enter records or load the example. Less than 7 days cannot complete a weekly check.
Minimum rest / 24 h
≥ 10 hMinimum rest / 7 days
≥ 77 hUnrecorded time
UTCThe exception flag does not relax the limits. Review authorization, reasons and compensatory rest separately.
Consecutive failing starts are grouped; each row shows the worst window. Rest-period review uses 24 hours from duty start and is not a final legal determination.

Screening only, not an official work/rest record, authority verification or legal advice. Check applicability, flag-State implementation, approved exceptions, fatigue and compensatory rest separately. No detected shortfall is not proof of compliance.
Method and limits
Rest totals are checked for every rolling 24-hour and 168-hour window at minute precision. Windows with gaps are excluded. Adjacent records of the same activity are merged. At each duty start, a 24-hour screening flags more than 2 rest periods or no 6-hour continuous rest for review. Rest beyond the record boundaries and approved exceptions are not assessed.
